Eligibility

All European Member National Federations plus Israel shall be eligible to compete in the European Rowing Championships. An athlete must present a valid passport from the country for which he wishes to compete (as per FISA rules). A rower may compete in a Junior rowing event until 31st of December of the year in which he reaches the age of 18.

The events offered at the 2015 European Rowing Junior Championships are:

Men (JM) 1x 2x 2- 4- 4x 4+ 8+
Women (JW) 1x 2x 2- 4- 4x 8+

About the Venue

Held on Trakai’s Galve Lake, this popular rowing spot was the venue of the 2002 World Rowing Junior Championships, 2006 FISU World Student Championships, 2008 FISA World Masters Regatta, 2012 World Rowing Under 23 Championships and 2013 World Rowing Junior Championships. It is known for its picturesque island castle near the finish line. The venue is also the home of the International Amber Oars Regatta. The lake is 2000m and 87.5m wide.
