General Description

Recreational Rowing allows participants to enjoy a combination of sport, friendship and tourism. It also helps establish rowing in countries where it is not yet known.

The purpose of FISA's World Rowing Tour is to introduce recreational rowing to nations that are yet unfamiliar with rowing or only know rowing as an Olympic sport.

For the past 33 years, rivers, lakes and seas in Europe, the Americas and Australia have welcomed rowers of all nationalities and ages who, in addition to rowing, enjoy beautiful scenery, sight-seeing and making long-lasting friendships.

FISA’s Rowing For All Commission

Chaired by Denis Masseglia, FISA’s Rowing For All Commission is responsible for the promotion of Tour Rowing worldwide and provides advice to the organisers of the annual World Rowing Tour.
