“The weather got better for our race. the rain stopped for the start, which is good for racing. This is our first competition together. We’ve been rowing together for one and a half weeks and I think we can still do better. We hope to stay with the same boat for the European Championships, but it still has to be decided.”

“It was a tough race. We were strong in the first thousand metres, the second one was very tough. We hope this season we can do better because it is the same boat that was in Rio together. At the European Championships we aim to get a medal.”

“We are quite a young crew and we’ve only been together a few weeks. It was a tough race with tough conditions. The other two crews did really well. We are also pushed really hard by the second GB boat and are under pressure from them.”
