2001 FISA Coaches Conference

Some of the world’s most successful coaches are to share their knowledge and experience at the FISA Coaches Conference in Bucharest, Romania from November 1-4.

The coach of the Olympic and world champion German women’s quad and double sculls crews, Jutta Lau, is to speak as is fellow champion women’s coach Nick Gioga of Romania.

Italian head coach Giuseppe La Mura and British women’s coach Paul Thompson are also among the experts from around the world.

Many aspects of training will be discussed but the conference also looks at nutrition, physiology, motivation and training equipment.

Much of the focus of this year’s conference is dedicated to the coaching of female athletes with topics from talent identification through to training the older athlete addressed.
