Olympic champions Ekaterina Karsten, James Cracknell and Matthew Pinsent are going for gold twice this afternoon as finals begin at the FISA World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Pinsent and Cracknell are racing in both the men's coxed and coxless pairs while Karsten is competing in both the women's single and double sculls.

Results are being updated live, every 500 metres on the Race Tracker with Pinsent and Cracknell up in the first A final of the day, the men's coxed pair.

Just under two hours later, they will be in the starting blocks for the coxless pair.

But Karsten's recovery time is even less. She will start in the women's double sculls with Volha Berazniova just over 50 minutes after finishing in the single.

Other highlights today are likely to be the lightweight men's eight and the men's coxless four which looked very competitive in the qualifying rounds.
