29 crews from Swiss and German clubs have entered this years Swiss Life Rowing Classics which are to take place on Lake Lucerne, Switzerland this Saturday (20 October).

The beautiful city of Lucerne – already renowned in the rowing world for hosting this years World Rowing Championships, is again welcoming one of this years International Rowing events, thereby completing the Swiss rowing season in style.

The rowers will be competing in four categories of eights with 5 Women crews, 7 Juniors crews, 6 Masters crews and 11 Seniors crews taking part.

The teams will make their way from Lucerne through spectacular scenery down the 11.5 km long itinerary to the town of Stansstad passing the picturestque villages of Tribscherhorn, Kastanienbaum, Spissenegg and Hergiswil along the their way.

In it’s sixth year, the Swiss Life Rowing Classics has attracted increasing local and International club interest thanks to it’s demanding course and it’s beautiful setting.

The start will be given at 2 pm and the fastest boats will be expected at the finish 45 minutes later.

A Cup will be awarded to the winning crew, and smaller prizes will be given to each category winner.
