Germany rowing federation president Helmut Griep holds the 2002 Team Trophy

With a total of 99 points, Germany claims the 2002 FISA World Rowing Championships Team Trophy for the second consecutive year. Italy placed second with 77 points and Great Britain third with a total of 62 points.

Points are earned for boat that places within the first seven in each of the 24 boat classes that are contested in the World Rowing Championships and the nation with the most points becomes the winner of the Team Trophy.

The silver plate was presented to Germany Federation president Helmut Griep after the final race of the 2002 World Championships in Seville, Spain last Sunday.
