Olympic silver medallist Xeno Mueller and Olympic doubles gold medallist Iztok Cop are set to meet today at the FISA World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland today (Thursday).

Semifinals are underway, with results coming through live on the Race Tracker.

Mueller and Cop have not met in competition this year, and Cop is expected to put forward a strong challenge.

Olympic bronze medallist Marcel Hacker heads the second semifinal with Olaf Tufte of Norway, Vaclav Chalupa of the Czech Republic and Ivo Yanakiev of Bulgaria other big names racing for the three places at stake.

In the women's single, Olympic champion Ekaterina Karsten of Belarus squares up against Sophie Balmary of France, while Germany's Katrin Rutschow-Stomporowski meets Russia's Yulia Alexandrova.

Other boat classes in action today include the lightweight men's single sculls, the women's coxless pair, the men's coxless pair and the men's double sculls.
