Mike Tanner named interim Chairman of the FISA Events Commission

Following the announcement by Mike Sweeney that he will step down as Chairman of the FISA Events Commission after 14 years in the post, the FISA Executive Committee has announced that he will be replaced by Mike Tanner of Hong Kong China until the next Congress in accordance with Article 41 of the FISA statutes. Mike Tanner is currently a member of the FISA Umpiring Commission, has lived in Hong Kong China for many years now and holds an Australian passport. The Chairman of the Events Commission sits on the FISA Council. This will be effective on 1st September 2004.
