Nations Cup Underway in Austria
Rowers from 38 nations are competing in the Under 23 World Rowing Nations Cup in Linz, Austria this weekend.
Teams from traditionally strong rowing countries like Great Britain, Germany, Australia and USA will meet crews from developing rowing nations Peru, Bangladesh, Mexico and Tunisia.
Heats start today (Friday) and will be continued tomorrow with repechages and semifinals. Finals will be held on Sunday 29th.
The Nations Cup is the annual international regatta for the under 23 age group. It became recognised by FISA as the official world under-23 regatta at the FISA Extraordinary Congress in Porto in February.
