Neykova Has Baby Boy
Bulgarian Olympic women’s single sculls silver medallist Rumyana Neykova has given birth to a baby boy.
He was born last night (Wednesday) in Bulgaria, weighing a sturdy 4050 grams.
Neykova was the centre of attention at the Sydney Olympic rowing regatta last August when she crossed the line in a photo finish with Ekaterina Karsten.
The race was so close it took the judges more than 10 minutes to announce that Karsten had taken the gold by 0.01 seconds.
Neykova is married to her coach Swilen. She plans to continue rowing and is looking to start training later in the year.
