Italian Olympic gold medallist in the men’s quadruple sculls and 2001 world double sculls bronze medallist Alessio Sartori is celebrating yet another happy event – he has become daddy of Matteo, who was born at the beginning of this week.

“I am happy, I cannot find the right words” Sartori said to the Italian newspaper “Il Messagero” yesterday. “The baby is well, my wife is too, and for us this is really a beautiful moment, unforgettable” he added.

Matteo was born early Monday morning. He weighed 3.350 kilograms at birth.
