Beautiful weather at the 24th edition of Turin, Italy's winter head race on the River Po.More than 1,400 rowers from six countries entered the D'inverno sul Po head race in Turin, Italy last weekend.

This annual rowing event, in its 24th edition, is held during the winter season on the River Po, over a six-kilometre long course winding between the hills and through the historical centre of Turin.

Participants from Italy, France, Switzerland, Greece, The Netherlands and Turkey competed in seven categories: novice B (aged 11 to 12), novice C (13 years old), cadets (14), youths (15-16), juniors (17-18), seniors (over 18) and masters (over 27).

On Saturday 208 boats raced in the single, double and pair, while Sunday staged the eights and quads with 990 rowers in 188 boats in front of a large crowd of spectators. A demonstration race for adaptive rowers included more than 50 participants in all adaptive events combined.
