World Rowing Sponsor, BearingPoint takes on New Zealand Rowing
Rowing New Zealand today announced the signing of International Business Advisor and Systems Integrator BearingPoint as naming sponsor of the 2004 New Zealand National Rowing Championships to be held at Lake Karapiro later this month.
BearingPoint were the presenting sponsor of the 2003 World Rowing Championships held in Milan last year. They are also the title sponsor of this season’s BearingPoint Rowing World Cup.
“Rowing New Zealand has been actively seeking a lead sponsor for our national Championships over recent months. While BearingPoint is a global firm of business advisors and systems integrators, the company has a strong NZ presence. More importantly, BearingPoint understands the core values of our sport through their lead sponsorship of the 2003 FISA World Rowing Championships” said Rowing New Zealand Chief Executive Craig Ross.
BearingPoint New Zealand’s Managing Director Chris Day says that the company’s sponsorship of the New Zealand National Rowing Championships is an excellent fit because it provides continuity of a successful global association with Rowing.
“We found great benefits in the partnership between FISA, (the International Rowing organisation) and its sportspeople, who have the spirit, resourcefulness and commitment that BearingPoint people deliver in our daily business. We are looking forward to the same exciting and worthwhile relationship with NZ Rowing” said Chris Day.
The New Zealand Rowing Championships will be held at Lake Karapiro from 24 to 28 February.
