Aalesund Marathon 2003
Rowers may choose to compete either in the full or half marathon distance in boats, or on a concept ergometer.
The competitions are coordinated with Aalesund Marathon for Runners.
The competition for runners is arranged by the Norwegian Marathon Club, Aalesund.
The Start and the Finish for runners and boats will be at: Kiperviktorget (AalesundMarket Place in the town center)
The ergometer competition will be at: Kipervikviktorget
The marathon distance at sea will follow a course along two of the main islands constituting Aalesund town, taking the boats through the Aalesund channel in the town center, which will give the audience a spectacular view of the crews (see attached map).
Boat categories: 4+Tubs, Gig 4, Gig 2x and 2x Tour Boats
If one should wish to participate in other 2x tour types of boats, Aalesunds Rowing Club will try to arrange that, but the nature of the stretch chosen will usually not be rowable in other types of boats.

Times:
Full distance marathon boats, ergometers and runners: Start at 1115
Half distance marathon: Start at 1300
Aalesunds Rowing Club will arrange a
Social Gathering for Participants at the Club House: This gathering will also include the Presentation Trophies and a meal.
Fees:
Ergometer: NOK 150.- per participant
Rowing 8: NOK 300.- per crew
Rowing 4: NOK 250.- per crew
Rowing 2: NOK 200.- per crew
Social Gathering Saturday night: NOK 150 per person (latest entry Saturday at 1100)
Last entry date: Wednesday 23rd April at 24:00. Fees to be paid prior to start.
