About Royal Canadian Henley Regatta
The first Royal Canadian Henley Regatta was held in 1880, and settled in St. Catharines permanently in 1903. Originally the race was 2112m long, like Henley Royal Regatta, before the distance was changed in 1964 to 2000m, the standard distance of racing. There is also a Masters regatta, usually held the week before.
