Rowing in Belarus

The regional Centre for Training in Rowing opened in Brest on the 25 May 2007. Brest rowing canal is located in the centre of Brest. Sand was extracted from the canal in the 1970s. In 2004-2007 a reconstruction of the canal’s bed was completed and services for the athletes were created. The Centre allows sportsmen and women to train all year-round.
