Teams transporting boats to Rio de Janeiro for the Championships, which is also the Test Event for the 2016 Olympic Games rowing regatta, are entitled to the exemption on import taxes that applies to equipment brought into Brazil for “Pre-Games Training”. The attached document explains the process that must be followed in order to be receive the exemption. Note that the National Federation must be represented in this process by its National Olympic Committee (NOC).
