VIII Banyoles International Masters Regatta

The eighth edition of the INTERNATIONAL VETERANS MEETING – The VIII BANYOLES MASTERS REGATTA , will take place on the 20^th and 21^st  of July 2002.

As with each year, the meeting will be open to veterans from all FISA categories. The regattas will be held over a 1000 m. multilane course. Doubling up is permitted in all trials with a compatible timetable and under the responsibility of the participants involved.

Where necessary, a handicap system will be applied for time compensation purposes. The regattas will take place during the whole Saturday the 20^th July and, on that same night, the traditional dinner party will be held. On Sunday morning, to mark the end of the event, cocktail regattas of eight will be celebrated.

ACCOMMODATION
The organising committee have negotiated preferential arrangements with local hotelkeepers in order to be able to offer reduced tariffs to all participants and their companions.

§ HOTEL L’AST **  This very highly specified and comfortable two star hotel is situated in a quiet street 120 metres from the regatta start. Although it does not benefit from the same views as the Mirallac, it also has a swimming pool and a bar. Only breakfast service.

§ HOSTAL CAN XABANET *  Anyone who has been on a training camp to Banyoles may well know this hotel which has a very comfortable rooms and excellent food. 150 metres away from the lake, and a five-minute walk from the rowing club. It is a favourite with many rowers.

§ HOSTAL SIQUÉS * A very comfortable hotel in Besalú (beautiful medieval village) 20 minutes (13 Km.) drive from Banyoles. Double and single rooms with bathroom en-suite, T.V. telephone, etc. High quality food, typical of the region.

§ HOTEL MELIÀ CONFORT GIRONA **** Situated in the monumental town of Girona from 15 Km. away of Banyoles by motorway. First category (4*) with double room.
