On 27 June 2020 at the FISA Council meeting held virtually, the following events were attributed*:
- 2022 World Rowing Indoor Championships – Hamburg, GER
- 2022 World Rowing Coastal Championships & Beach Sprint Finals – Wales, GBR
- 2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships – Toronto, CAN
- 2023 World Rowing Coastal Championships & Beach Sprint Finals – Sabaudia, ITA
- 2024 World Rowing Indoor Championships – Prague, CZE
*The 2021 World Rowing Indoor Championships will be held as a live virtual event.
On 2 September 2019 at the FISA Ordinary Congress held in Linz-Ottensheim, AUT, the following events were attributed.

- 2022 World Rowing Under 23 & Junior Championships – Varese, ITA
- 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships – Plovdiv, BUL
- 2023 World Rowing Championships – Belgrade, SRB
