About Aiguebelette
Lake Aiguebelette is one of only a few natural rowing courses in France. Lying at the foot of the Épine Mountains, which separate the Chambéry basin and Lake Bourget from the Avant Pays Savoyard and the plains to the east of Lyon, the lake is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside.
Running southeast – northwest and sheltered from the wind, the layout of the course and the depth of the water ensure regular and identical conditions for every lane, no matter what the weather. Rowers greatly appreciate the excellent racing conditions that guarantee every competitor an equal chance.
