The names will remain for the month of September and Olympic Champion Angela Alupei stated, “I’m impressed and proud that my name is a subway stop station name in Bucharest even for a short period. It’s nice when those people that have represented their country are recognized for their contribution to sport in such a way. Many people, especially my current work colleagues, called me to congratulate me for this. Jokingly some of them asked me, ‘what is the price of a ticket from my station?’”
