2016 World Rowing Cup I, Varese (ITA) media information

The World Rowing Federation, FISA, wishes to advise international media about the information available for the 2016 World Rowing Cup I in Varese, Italy.

The first World Rowing Cup for the 2016 season will take place from 15-17 April, 2016. The media guide is now available at: http://www.worldrowing.com/mediacenter/ and includes a Who to Watch for all of the Olympic boat classes.

The World Rowing website, www.worldrowing.com will be the main channel containing:

·         Entries, results, and related PDFs

·         Race reports

·         Live race tracker

·         Audio commentary 

·         Photos

·         Live blog

Live video coverage will be available on the website for the A-finals. These begin at 11:00 CET on Sunday 17 April, 2016.

World Rowing also posts information through social media. The official Twitter account of World Rowing is @WorldRowing. The official hashtag for the event is #WRCVarese. World Rowing will provide updates and short commentary via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram @WorldRowingOfficial. Athletes and fans are encouraged to tweet messages of support using the official hashtag.
