Drysdale and Martin in photo finish for phenomenal finals day
The climax of the Rio 2016 Olympic Rowing Regatta in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was nothing short of stunning. It began with Mahe Drysdale of New Zealand winning in a photo finish against Croatia’s Damir Martin and ended with Great Britain being the most successful nation in Olympic rowing. In regatta that has had a real mixture of weather conditions, the final day of racing saw bobbly water and a small tail cross wind on the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
