How to be part of indoor rowing at 2017 World Games
The World Games is a multisport event organised every four years by the International World Games Association (IWGA) (visit their website here). For the first time in 2017, indoor rowing will be included as a demonstration sport, giving the rowing world the opportunity to find the world’s fastest indoor rowers over both 2000m and 500m distances.
The events
Seven events are scheduled to take place at the World Games from 26-27 July, 2017.
2000m events – open men, lightweight men, open women, lightweight women
500m events – open men, open women
Mixed event – 4 x 500m mixed relay (teams to be determined at a later date)
How it works
The National Rowing Federations will organise the qualification in their individual countries. So the best is to contact your nation’s national federation. Have a look here.
Scores must be submitted through the National Federation and the Concept2 online Logbook by 28 February, 2017. Logbook here.
Qualified athletes will be notified through their National Federation in March 2017.
