“Coming into this race, we’ve been in quite a few training camps. Preparation hasn’t been amazing because of the weather conditions, but no injuries which is good. We are home for two weeks now to prepare for the European Championships.” 

Barnabe Delarze (b), Switzerland, silver 
“It was the best race of the weekend. It was a good regatta, we learned in every race. We tried things during the heats and the repechage and we managed to put it all together during the final. Maybe we would have needed three more strokes to pass the Lithuanians. We will stay in the double sculls for the European Championships and depending on the result it might change after that.”

Dominik Czaja (b), Poland, bronze
“We felt very good. Yesterday the repechage was a good race and gave us a good feeling. We trained together for one month, it is a new combination. We feel like we can still do better and we hope to stay together for the European Championships.”

B-Final

The experienced Raja and Endrekson of Estonia showed their talent by dominating this race from start to finish. Slovenia tried to keep up but didn’t have a chance against the two Olympic medallists from Estonia.
