How to follow 2019 World Rowing Cup I, Plovdiv

This takes place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, which hosted the 2018 World Rowing Championships. There are over 300 athletes racing from 24 countries. A mixture of emerging talent and seasoned elite rowers will be racing with the youngest athlete only 16 years old and the oldest is 50!

With the absence of larger nations such as Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy, this leaves a bigger chance for other nations to make a stance for themselves. China, Romania and Japan have all sent large teams.  

The LIVE draw will be taking place at 15:00 EEST (GMT+3) on Thursday, 9 May and will be live streamed on Facebook. The first race will start Friday, 10 May at 09:30 EEST (GMT+3).

1.    The provisional time table for the event can be found here. And entries for all the races are available here.

2.    Live audio commentary and the live race tracker will be available for ALL races on www.worldrowing.com

3.    Live VIDEO streaming will be available for the following races but can be subject to change:

a.    Friday 10 May – 10:00 (GMT+3) until 13:05 (GMT+3)

b.    Friday 10 May – 14:30 (GMT+3) until 16:05 (GMT+3)

c.     Saturday 11 May – 10:00 (GMT+3) until 13:00 (GMT+3)

d.    Sunday 12 May – 09:00 (GMT+3) until 14:00 (GMT+3).

United States

World Rowing recently partnered with NBC Sports Group for coverage of the World Rowing Cups, European Championships and World Championships for the next three years.

Racing will be live-streamed on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA, OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app or via authentication on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, which includes NBCSN’s coverage. 

VOD clips will be available 24 hours after the event.
