World Rowing awards

–          Thomas Keller Medal – for an outstanding career in international rowing

–          Distinguished service to international rowing – helping rowing to develop internationally

–          Filippi Spirit Award – for a university student rower who demonstrates World Rowing’s core values.

–          Sustainability Award – innovative sustainability projects

–          Men’s, women’s and para crew (or rower) of the year

–          Coach of the year

Thomas Keller Medal
The launch of public nominations for 2019 will begin on 3 June following the European Rowing Championships in Lucerne – the home of Thomas Keller’s son and award sponsor, Dominik Keller.

World Rowing Distinguished Services to International Rowing
This award’s public nomination process will begin during World Rowing Cup II in Poznan.

Filippi Spirit Award
The winner of the Filippi eight for 2018, Amidu Silva will be presented with the boat during the European Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland. This will mark the launch of the 2019 nomination process following the championships on 3 June.

World Rowing Sustainability Award
The 2019 nomination launch will take place during World Rowing Cup III in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. At Rotterdam, World Rowing partners WWF will have an important role to play. This makes it an ideal place to start the awards process.

World Rowing Coach, Women’s, Men’s and Para-rowing athletes of the Year
The public nomination process will be launched directly following the 2019 World Rowing Championships.

All nominations will close at the same time on 30 September. The announcement of the shortlist in all categories will take place two weeks later. Then the winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner and ceremony taking place on 22 November 2019 in London during the World Rowing Coaches Conference.
