How to Follow: 2022 World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships
It is that time of the year again. The 2022 World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships (WRICH) presented by Concept2, are just around the corner and will feature some of the best on-water rowers taking part as well as many exclusively indoor rowing competitors.
The event is being held virtually, taking advantage of technology that makes an international virtual event possible. The first race will start Friday, 25 February at 12:06 CET. The event will also have a “prime-time slot” Saturday, from 12 noon CET to 14:30 CET, where the blue ribband events – the men’s and women’s open 2000m – but also featured interviews and other video clips will take place.
The 2022 WRICH will be host-produced by World Rowing Productions and will include a team of commentators based all around the world – with Peter O’Hanlon, Camilla Hadland and Martin Cross in Great Britain, and Shane Farmer and Aquil Abdullah in the United States. World Rowing’s partnership with Tencent Cloud will help provide video-on-demand, and other technological support.
This year, the broadcast will integrate live reactions from Social Media channels – make sure to tag us in your photos / videos, and you may appear during the live show.
