The 57th edition of the Regatta Athleteplus.org Sevilla-Betis will take place this Saturday, 11 November on the Guadalquivir river in Sevilla, Spain.
This classic duel on the Guadalquivir, a riveting local rendition of the legendary Oxford-Cambridge showdown, is set to unfold this Saturday, setting the stage for the city’s football derby the following day.
This event, renowned as one of the country’s premier rowing spectacles, seamlessly blends a rich history with a lively atmosphere, drawing both local and international rowers and captivating thousands of spectators who come together to revel in the festivities. This year again, it will feature Olympians Jaime Canalejo Pazos and Javier Garcia Ordoñez, who qualified the men’s pair together for their country at the 2023 World Rowing Championships – they will now face each other, respectively in the Sevilla and the Betis boat. Fellow National team members, such as Jorge Knabe or Gonzalo Garcia Ferrero, will also proudly defend their clubs’ colours.
