The World Rowing Awards are an annual celebration of the best in international rowing. Hosted virtually since the pandemic, the World Rowing Awards will be awarded live on stage this year in a festive evening environment, in an iconic location in the city centre of Seville.

The 2024 World Rowing Awards ceremony, set to be held on Saturday, 9 November 2024, will see two new awards being introduced.

Following public nominations, and based on the analysis of expert panels created for each of the awards, World Rowing is delighted to announce the finalists for the World Rowing Programme of the Year, and the Artistic Contribution to Rowing.

The “Rowing Programme of the Year” award underscores World Rowing’s commitment to expanding the international Rowing community, involving clubs, schools and universities more deeply, and highlighting their crucial role in developing the sport.

Finalists :

Oxford Brookes University Boat Club, United Kingdom

Fulham Reach Boat Club, United Kingdom

The “Artistic Contribution of the Year” award highlights the intersection of athleticism and creativity, celebrating works that may include visual arts, music, literature, still or moving images, or any other artistic medium that reflects the spirit and beauty of Rowing.

Finalists :

Annabel Eyres, Great Britain

Vera Buscu, New Zealand

World Rowing has decided not to award the Rowing Destination of the year in 2024.

All winners of the 2024 World Rowing Awards will be announced during a Gala dinner on 9 November at 20:00 CET. If you wish to attend the Gala, find all information here.
