Beyond The Oars: World Rowing launches new podcast
World Rowing is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new podcast, Beyond The Oars – a show dedicated to taking listeners deep inside the world of Rowing.
Hosted by Christine Cavallo, US rower and World Champion in Beach Sprint Rowing, alongside Peter O’Hanlon, longtime World Rowing Commentator, the podcast brings together the athlete’s perspective and the voice of Rowing’s biggest events.
Each episode will explore the many dimensions of the sport, from Classic Rowing on the Olympic stage to Coastal and Indoor Rowing, as well as the people and stories that make Rowing unique.
The first episode is out now, offering a preview of the upcoming 2025 World Rowing Championships in Shanghai, China. Cavallo and O’Hanlon set the scene for one of the biggest events on the Rowing calendar, sharing insights, storylines, and what to watch as the best athletes in the world head to the start line.
“Beyond The Oars is about uncovering the depth of Rowing: the athletes, the traditions, and the innovations driving the sport forward. We can’t wait to share these stories with the global rowing community,” said hosts Christine Cavallo and Peter O’Hanlon.
