World Rowing, proud finalist at the 2025 Sport Positive Awards

World Rowing was honoured to attend the 2025 Sport Positive Awards in London, where we were finalists in the Biodiversity Project category together with bloomUp for our work implementing the bloomUp Biodiversity Compass in for the In Nature With Balance Biodiversity Pilot project.

Our project, brought to life during the World Rowing Under 19 Championships in Trakai, Lithuania, was made possible thanks to the dedication and vision of the Trakai Event Organising Committee. Their leadership alongside Kaunas University of Technology and other local partners helped show how sport can actively support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.

Together, we measured, shared, and enhanced the event’s positive impact on nature from protecting local habitats to engaging young athletes in sustainability and environmental action.

A huge thank you to all our partners for making this journey possible. We are more inspired than ever to keep driving nature-positive change in sport!
