The 2025 World Rowing Versa Challenge is set to take place in Singapore this November, bringing together some of the world’s most versatile and powerful Indoor Rowers. Proud to be part of the Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival 2025 (SGUSFF 2025) presented by Sport Singapore, this year’s line-up, from seasoned champions to exciting new names, reflects the growing depth and global reach of Indoor/Connected Rowing.

The Versa Challenge tests athletes across a series of physically demanding workouts designed to reward consistency, endurance, and adaptability, the very qualities that define the world’s best Indoor Rowers.

With the competition heading to Singapore for the first time, anticipation is building for what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the 2025 indoor season.

Leading the women’s field is Charlotte Dixon (GBR), the runner-up from the inaugural 2023 World Rowing Versa Challenge, who will face strong competition from a talented North American contingent including Ella Fox (USA), Lina Bélanger (CAN), Morgan McGrath (USA), and Marsha Coniglio (USA) – all former Versa athletes from 2023 or 2024. Denmark’s Vár Guriardóttir Hansen adds European firepower to the mix, while local favourites Tan Hui Er and Madeline Ng will proudly represent Singapore in front of their home crowd.

On the men’s side, the line-up features a blend of established names and fresh challengers. Joel Naukkarinen (FIN), one of the sport’s most experienced hybrid athletes and two-time reigning Versa Challenge winner, returns to the stage alongside Loïc Schalbetter (SUI), Anders Edquist (SWE), and Anders Meskestad Jacobsen (NOR) — all proven performers on the world Indoor Rowing circuit.

North America will be represented by Daniel Viger (CAN) and Paul Marcy (USA), while Caleb Choke and Bryan Cheah will bring the home energy for Singapore.

From Europe to North America and Asia, the 2025 World Rowing Versa Challenge Singapore underline the truly global spirit of the Indoor Rowing community. With athletes from eight nations taking part, fans can look forward to a showcase of strength, resilience, and versatility, all set against the vibrant backdrop of Singapore.
