Entries open for the 2026 World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships, presented by Concept2
World Rowing is delighted to announce that entries are now open for the 2026 World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championships (WRVICH), presented by Concept2. Taking place entirely online, the event invites athletes from every corner of the world to compete from home, the gym, or their local club, all using their Concept2 rowing machines.
The 2026 edition will once again showcase the unique power of virtual racing: a global field, a unified platform, and a format designed to make participation possible for anyone, anywhere.
This year’s WRVICH will unfold across two consecutive weekends in February 2026, featuring an expanded programme of distances and categories:
- Heats: Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 February 2026
- Finals: Saturday 28 February 2026
To ensure fair access to athletes worldwide, all Heats will be organised across three time zones: Asia/Oceania, Europe/Africa, and the Americas. No prior qualification is required: every participant will line up in live racing during the Heats, with the fastest advancing to the Finals.
The race programme includes:
- 1000 metres – Individual & Team
- 5000 metres – Individual & Team
- 1 minute – Individual
Participants will also benefit from special early entry incentives:
- Early bird rates for all entries made between 18 November and 11 December 2025
- All entries made between 18 November and 31 December 2025 (TBC) will be entered into an erg prize draw, with four Concept2 rowing machines available to win
Whether you’re an elite indoor specialist, a club rower looking for a new challenge, or someone who trains on a Concept2 and wants to test yourself on the world stage, WRVICH is designed for you.
Join the global indoor rowing community, race from wherever you are, and be part of the journey to crown the 2026 World Champions.
