African Rowing Federation (FASA)
The Rowing Association of Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe founded the African Rowing Federation (FASA) on 24 December 1992 in Cairo, Egypt. Its main objectives are to encourage the practice of rowing in the affiliated countries, and to promote and develop all forms of rowing in Africa. Membership of FASA currently consists of 34 countries.
FASA was formally recognised by World Rowing as the Continental Rowing Confederation for Africa at the 2020 World Rowing Ordinary Congress.
