Arab Rowing Federation (FAA)

The Arab Rowing Federation was founded on 24 March 1990 in Cairo, by Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Kuwait.

The Arab Rowing Federation (FAA) currently has 17 members and has held 12 Arab Championships. Membership is open to Arab National Unions which shall submit an approved application from the Olympic Committee.

The key objectives of FAA include the development of rowing and of the Arab athletes, work in collaboration with World Rowing and the continental/regional association, and encouraging the establishment of the Arab Championships.

The Arab Rowing Federation (FAA) was formally recognised by World Rowing as a Member Grouping in 2020.
