The World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints are an initiative between Concept2 and World Rowing.
WHEN AND WHERE
The Indoor Sprints takes place between March 9-13, 2022. As to where it takes place—that’s entirely up to you! Unlike a traditional race, the World Rowing Indoor Sprints can take place anywhere in the world. You can take part on your own or in an organized event. This year, for the first time, there’s the possibility to take in an online race.
EVENT INFORMATION
- Race 1,000 metres on the Concept2 Indoor Rower (Model A-E rowers only, no Dynamic or indoor rowers on Slides) at your club, gym, school or home between 9-13 March, 2022.
- Individuals should enter their time in their Concept2 Online Logbook by 12pm GMT on 15 March 2022.
- Events should send their results by email to ranking@concept2.com. You must use the official result form. Results must be emailed by March 15, 12:00 GMT (08:00 ET). Late entries will not be accepted.
- Due to the time required to compile and check race results, final results should be ready by 5 pm GMT on March 15, 2022.

Certificates will be awarded to the top three male and female times in each category. Categories are listed below.
12 and under / 13-14 / 15-16 / 17-18 / 19-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70-79 / 80-89 / 90+
*Lightweight category offered from 19 and above.
Lightweight specifications:
Lightweight Women: < = 61.5 kg (135 lbs)
Open Women: > 61.6 kg (135 lbs)
Lightweight Men: < = 75 kg (165 lbs)
Open Men: > 75 kg (165 lbs)
PARA-ROWING EVENTS (M/W)
Sport Classes* : PR3 / PR2 / PR1 / PR3-II
*Athletes do not need to carry an international classification in order to participate in this event.
Each Sport Class will be offered in the following age categories:
