EVENT DESCRIPTION
The inaugural World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Shenzhen, China in 2019 were followed successfully in 2021 in Oeiras, Portugal following the postponement from 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The third edition of the WRBSF took place alongside the World Rowing Coastal Championships in 2022 in the coastal village of Saundersfoot. The 2023 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals will be held 29 September – 1 October in Barletta, Italy.
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
The World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals are open to rowers who are authorised to compete for their member federation under Rule 12 of the World Rowing Rules of Racing.

The World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals (which may also be called Beach Sprint Championships) are held in the following events:
Men: CM1x, CJM1x, CJM2x
Women: CW1x, CJW1x, CJW2x
Mixed: CMix2x, CMix4x+, CJMix2x

Time trial races – boats will be numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc…
Knock out races – The boat supplier and the TD Boat will inspect the boats and match in PAIRS A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 etc… (WR to bring labels)
Span – 158cm
Height – gates will be set to Max height with round washers (no clips)
Seats – lowest seats will be in boats (able to request different seats)
Wing Riggers – to be positioned closest to bows.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Barletta is a city of Apulia region, in south eastern Italy on the Adriatic Coast . Barletta is the capoluogo, together with Andria and Trani, of the Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. Barletta is situated on the south-west end of the Gulf of Manfredonia and sits opposite the beautiful promontory of Gargano. The city is endowed with a very long, sandy coast stretching to both the east and the west from the commercial port. Along the coast, there are various attractive beaches with trees to the west.

By train : Barletta railway station is reachable by train from the FS Adriatic Railway main line (Trenitalia company or Italo company), from the Bari–Barletta railway Trenitalia company
By car, Barletta is reachable from the A14 motorway (exiting at Andria-Barletta or Canosa) or the SS16 highway or from the airport of Bari-Palese, located about 55 kilometres (34 min) from Barletta.
