2025 World Rowing Tour

The 2025 World Rowing Tour will be in Berlin from 25th May to 1st June 2025.

Rowing in Berlin also offers a remarkable diversity. No other city in Germany has as many rowing clubs along the shores of its lakes and the three rivers: Havel, Spree, and Dahme. Each of the 60 clubs contributes its own unique story, reflecting the evolution of the sport and its history since nearly 150 years. The large number of clubs can be attributed to the exceptional rowing locations, which cater to various needs with their urban canals, picturesque lakes, and gentle river routes. The regatta course in Grünau (since 1880) was the venue for the Olympic Games in 1936 and served as the site for the qualifying races for the all-German Olympic team from 1956 to 1964.

Length of the event: 8 days with 6 rowing days, starting on Sunday, 25th May until Sunday 1st June
Total distance: 150 – 160 km, daily tours vary between 19 to 30 kilometer
Number of participants and accommodation: Maximum 70 participants including non-rowers and reserve rowers; Three hotels to reduce the time of transfers
Boats: Participants will row big boats, so called church-boats, which give space for up to 14 oar rowers plus cox and allow recreational and community rowing.
