The top event of the year for Under 19 rowers in the ‘Classic Discipline’ is the World Rowing Under 19 Championships (WRU19CH). The 2025 World Rowing Under 19 Championships will take from place 6 to 10 August in Trakai, Lithuania.

ELIGIBILITY
World Rowing Championships are open to all Member Federations. A rower may compete in an Under 19 event until 31st of December of the year in which they reach the age of 18. Athletes must be eligible under the relevant rules. To represent a country in a World Rowing Championship, a competitor shall be a citizen of that country. He or she must be able to prove this by showing an official document (passport or identity card). In exceptional cases, the Executive Committee may make exceptions. Rowers may only compete at the World Rowing Championships if they have submitted a signed commitment form, according to Article 56. Each team official must have submitted a signed commitment form to World Rowing before accreditation may be issued at a World Rowing event.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Held on Trakai’s Galve Lake, this popular rowing spot was the venue of the 2002 World Rowing Junior Championships, 2006 FISU World Student Championships, 2008 FISA World Masters Regatta, 2012 World Rowing Under 23 Championships, 2013 World Rowing Junior Championships, 2016 European Rowing Junior Championships and most recently the 2017 World Rowing Junior Championships. It is known for its picturesque island castle near the finish line. The venue is also the home of the International Amber Oars Regatta. The lake covers area of 361ha and is 3,28 km long and 1.96 km wide (at widest and longest points).
