Event Bidding
World Rowing’s Strategic Event Attribution Process (SEAP)
World Rowing’s Strategic Event Attribution Process (SEAP) marks an evolution from a purely competitive bid system to a collaborative, long-term strategy that encourages governments, local authorities and member federations to work closely with World Rowing in hosting international regattas. This cooperative model enables key partners to strategically plan events that not only justify their investments in rowing facilities, but enhance the social and economic benefits for the host communities. World Rowing welcomes partnerships through multi-year arrangements. By fostering open and focused discussions with potential partners, SEAP allows host cities to maximize tourism benefits, drawing visitors during the events and inspiring return visits through a strengthened reputation as a premier sports and cultural destination.
World Rowing stages events across three disciplines (Classic, Coastal and Indoor), European Rowing events, and World Rowing Awards and conferences.
