Lightweights Set New World Best in Lucerne
The Australian crew of Catriona Roach, Amber Halliday, Sally Causby and Josephine Lips has set a new senior world best time of 6:31.51 in heat one of the lightweight women’s quad at the FISA World Rowing Championships today (Monday).
The previous record of 6:36.63 was set by Germany at the 1997 World Championships in Aiguebelette, France.
The crews from Spain and the Netherlands in heat two of the lightweight women’s quad were also within the previous world best time.
