This year, the championship is taking place in Gravelines in the north of France between Calais and Dunkirk.  Packed with a lifetime of history and its modern sport facilities, Gravelines is an ideal location to experience the mix of sport, history, modernity, culture, nature and architecture.

This year there are 469 athletes competing from 34 nations. This is a record number of countries, beating last year’s record of 33 nations.

The biggest squad at the regatta will be Italy with 49 athletes attending, followed by Romania (42), Czech Republic (37), France (33) and then Russia (33). Among other the nations participating is a group of rowing development nations racing such as; Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, Georgia and Moldova.

The draw takes place at 17:00hrs (CEST) on Friday, 25 May 2018. The first races begin Saturday 26 May at 08:30hrs local time (CEST).
