2019 World Rowing Coastal Championships, Hong Kong, China

Hot on the heels of the World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals, the 2021 World Rowing Coastal Championships are taking place at the same location of Praia da Torre, in Oeiras, Portugal.

A number of the athletes who competed in the Beach Sprint Finals have stayed on to race again at the Coastal Championships. They will be joined by the endurance distance, coastal specialists as well as a number of top flat water rowers – some of them hot off the back of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The World Rowing Coastal Championships has attracted 34 nations from as far away as Japan, New Zealand and the United States. The largest boat class is the men’s solo (single sculls) with over 70 competitors racing and it sees the return of 2019 coastal champion Adrian Miramon of Spain.

The first races will start Thursday, 30 September at 10:30 CET.  Here is how to follow the event on mobile, desktop and tablet.

The provisional timetable for the event can be found here. Entries are available here.
