For the first-time ever, World Rowing will host an event on the African continent. Tshwane will play host to the 2023 World Rowing Masters Regatta from 21 to 24 September.

The City of Tshwane is buzzing with excitement as it gears up to host the World Rowing Masters Regatta, where Roodeplaat Dam will meet rowers from the world’s most competitive waters. Here’s all you need to know.

In a unique plan, the Organising committee (OC) is offering participating rowers the option of glamping (glamorous camping) at the regatta venue site, in what promises to be a mesmerizing hospitality experience under a starlit African Sky. The glampers will be entertained by social events every evening and will be meters away from the pontoons which will bring them onto the regatta course, dubbed as the home of South African rowing.

Aside from the promise of a fantastic stay and excellent competition facilities, the OC through the network of official tourist agencies is offering a wide variety of day trips to exotic destinations within the area. More information at: https://wrmr2023.africa/Online-Bookings/Day-Trips
