Local Lithuanian Legends to race on Lake Galvė
On Saturday 9 August, some familiar names from Lithuanian rowing will take to the water in between the racing sessions of the World Rowing U19 Championships to take part in the “Star Race”.
Five boats will take part in the 200m race, each boat featuring a “star” and a “pro rower”. The rowers taking part are:

The star line-up will include photographers, prominent figures from Lithuania’s music industry, influencers and a para athlete.
Danas Sodaitis is a Lithuanian para-athlete specializing in sprinting events and has represented Lithuania in international competitions, including the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. In 2020, he made history by becoming the first para-athlete to win a national open championship title in Lithuania.
The race will take place at 13:10.
