From 2022 the WR Women’s Cross Commission transitioned to become the Gender Equality Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) Cross Commission, guided by WR Council’s approval of the Position Statement, Duties, Strategic Plan and Action Plan.
Seminars and Workshops
World Rowing organises the “what’s next2rowing seminar” every quadrennium.
This seminar aims to discuss Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues affecting the Olympic and Paralympic movement and Rowing in particular. It allows World Rowing to invite expert speakers, discuss strategy, programmes and achievements, providing opportunities to Member Federations to showcase their latest work and exchange best practices to the benefit of the worldwide community.
In 2022, aligned with the creation of the WR GEDI Cross Commission, World Rowing organised an “Unconscious Bias Workshop” during the Joint Commissions Meeting.
