Fifty years after racing together for Yugoslavia, four former teammates returned to Lake Bled to race again. šŸ‡·šŸ‡øšŸš£ā€ā™‚ļø

Ozren ToÅ”ić, Milan Stojanović, NebojÅ”a Janjić and Milan MiÅ”ljenović first met as 14-year-olds at Red Star Rowing Club in Belgrade. At 16, they won their way onto the Yugoslav junior national team — and 50 years later, they found themselves back together in a quad at the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta.

It took a last-minute phone call, a lot of training, a borrowed boat from a rowing club in Munich, and plenty of friendship to make it happen.

From memories of their first World Championships to racing together again on the same lake, this is a story about rowing, friendship, and the people who stay with you long after the races are over.
