Got a story to tell? World Rowing is looking for broadcast commentators.

Every race has a story — from the tactics and intensity of a classic 2,000m showdown to the head-to-head action of Coastal and Beach Sprint racing.

World Rowing is looking to expand its pool of broadcast commentators to support its growing global event programme and bring those stories to audiences around the world.

Commentators do more than call the action. They help viewers understand what is happening on the water, get to know the athletes, follow the tactics and appreciate the moments that can decide a race. The best commentary combines knowledge of the sport with a feel for the story unfolding in front of you.

As rowing continues to evolve across classic, coastal and connected formats, World Rowing is looking for people who can help make the sport accessible, engaging and exciting for different audiences.

Now’s the time to jump into the World Rowing commentary team rotation. For those with experience behind a microphone, strong storytelling skills, combined with rowing knowledge, don’t delay and apply today.

You might already have experience behind a microphone, or you may bring a strong background in rowing, sport or storytelling and be ready to take the next step. What matters is the ability to communicate clearly, think on your feet, connect with an international audience and bring the competition to life in a live environment.
